Falkland Islands Development Corporation Restructure

Expertbiz were contracted by Veredus PLC to act on behalf of the Falkland Islands government and provide interim consultancy services to support the Falkland Island Development Corporation( FIDC). The corporation is the state economic development agency which is sponsored by the Falkland Islands Government and has the leading role in the overseas territory in supplying public sector funded business support, commercial lending, national transport and logistics planning, and the development of public and commercial land and property infrastructure with an investment portfolio of £7m.
Tom Cosh led the organisational transformationof the Corporation, reporting his review on the priorities for change within 6 weeks of commencing the brief. On approval from the Board and Government, he led the restructure of the organisations core business processes (risk and project management, HR, budget and investment management ).  He drafted the new business plan in consulation with key stakeholder groups, in the process re-engaging with various important institutional and community stakeholders. He rationalised the organisations relationship with key business units, it's project portfolio and corporate lending policies. He completed his assignment and hand over reports for the new permanent General Manager at the end of February 2009.
